When Batara Guru Couldn't Take It Any Longer

"Let's continue the story about Gara-gara," says the Moon after saying Basmalah and Salaam. "It is said that Omaran, a merchant, had a beautiful-looking daughter, Dewi Uma or Umayi. Uma was eager to become powerful, so she meditated on mountain tops, and often, immersed herself in the confluence of streams. Some times, it took weeks, months, or even years. With all her heart and diligently, she meditated, that her face shone and many men fell in love with her.
Because of her supernatural powers, many people learned from her. Her house was full of people, both men and women, young and old. Among them, there were those who asked for her blessing so that their trade could run smoothly, got married quickly, or got promoted. Because what she intended could be realized, she was regarded as a female saint at her time.

One day, Sang Hyang Jagad Girinata or Batara Guru saw Uma resting on a mountain. Seeing Uma's beauty, Batara Guru was tempted. At first, Uma's stance was firm and strong, because she wanted to develop her 'perfection' to help others. However, fate had determined that she had to stop her practice and change her position to become a wife, and even become the queen of all widadaris. In short, she gave up on Batara Guru's power.
On another day, Batara Guru went on an excursion with his wife, Dewi Uma, riding Lembu Andini across the heaven. Above Gandamayit Setra, in the beauty of sunset, Batara Guru was tempted to see his wife's calves. He then seduced Dewi Uma to serve his desires right then and there, on Andini's back. But his wife refused. Apart from being embarrassed, Dewi Uma considered such an act as inappropriate.

Batara Guru could not hold himself back anymore, his lust was intense, finally Batara Guru's Kama [seed] dripped into the ocean. Unfortunately, the Kama was not right on target. Instantly, the sea water churned. The king of devata's Kama, transformed into a horrible creature. Quickly, the creature grew big. It attacked and devoured anything. It swallowed Kang Ojek's motorbike parked at the base, Bang Ucok's truck, Uda Minang merchandise, Cah Bagus and Cah Ayu's shoes and school uniforms, to fried onions in the kitchen, it swallowed everything, no mercy.

In order to relieve the confusion occurred. Batara Guru ordered some dewatas to exterminate the creature. But none of them could stop it. There was a deva, who always claimed to be the defender of the grassroots, when interviewed by reporters, commented, 'We understand, this situation is burdensome to the people, but, this situation also affects Batara Guru.' How strange, a deva quoted such things like the propagandists.

The vicious creature chased dewatas to the Kahyangan Suralaya, Batara Guru's abode. After dealing with Batara Guru, the being demands an explanation, whose son was it, and the name of it's father? Batara Guru, who was aware of the situation, immediately said that the creature was his son, which was caused by wrong Kama. Batara Guru gave it a name, Kala, and appointed it equal to the devas, equal to his other children. Thus, it became Batara Kala.

It was said that Kamasalah or Batara Kala, shaped like a tadpole, a big head, bulging eyes sticking out, and a long tail, from his mouth, spitting fire like the eruption of Mount Krakatoa.
Afterwards, Batara Kala put forward some terms and conditions, he asked for a wife and a place to live. Well, before, Batara Guru and Dewi Uma just had a fight. Dewi Uma, who was once beautiful, was cursed to become a female giant with fangs, her teeth pointed with pride like a pointed rock. Her name was changed to 'Durga' which means evil. Batari Durga was then ordered to become Batara's wife and they were given a place in Gandamayit Setra, in the Krendawahana Forest area. And before leaving, Batara Kala also asked for food supplies, and was allowed by Batara Guru as many as 60 types of humans called Sukerta."

The Moon closed the story by saying, "Then, what about the humans situation? Well, it seemed, they were quite satisfied with the cash transfers decorated with stifling propaganda. And Allah knows best."
